eighteen more days til I leave Singapore, wowowow 这么快。没想到三个月一眨眼就过去了。2fast2furious yo I can’t really remember what I’ve been doing. lately it’s just lots of breaking bad (frkn amazing series, really worth watching. very well written) with xr interspersed with going out, eating prawn mee and buying stuff

this week is going to be pretty fun. what’s up:

cut/dye hair, browhaus
running errands with xr, getting things in place for 13 sept
oceanarium (???) hehe
mink with ma wholesome people kekeke
dinner with the og (?)
mom’s bday dinner
warwick summer games
hctr dinner (???)
phantom of the opera with xr mom and lin

hae mee diaries, m’sia and random stuff beneath the cut

hae mee diaries

so in my 20 years of life i’ve had prawn mee at these places:

1. adam road food centre (noo cheng prawn mee)

2. ion food opera

3. tiong bahru market

4. beach rd, near haji lane (blanco court prawn mee)

5. old airport road (albert rd prawn mee)

and i’ve had 粿条干,要辣 except at blanco because it was sold out and i had yellow mee instead (sigh). my verdict? first place is a tie between noo cheng @ adam road, the one at tiong bahru market and blanco court on beach road lulz. tbh i can’t really remember how noo cheng‘s like cuz i had it a year or so ago but i remember being blown away. it made me ~*`hearts`*~ prawn mee. never looked back since then. oh but it’s pretty pricey at noo cheng

the spicy noodle 酱 at blanco‘s so friggin good. for me to award it first place despite having had yellow mee and not kuay tiao is quite a big deal ok. it’s just so good. but ok the meat is quite tough, not that great. and i don’t recall them having the 大虾 option so that’s kinda a minus point i guess

the one at tbm is very nice. i like that there was kang kong in my noodles! hee hee. spicy and shiok. i wolfed it down in minutes partly because i’m hungry but also because it’s really yummerz

at fourth place is the one at ion’s food opera. decent, can satisfy my craving pretty well. would probably have it if i don’t know where to eat in town

at last place is the one at old airport road. had it today and my god it was really a waste of stomach space. idk lah the broth was really sweet and didn’t really have depth…? and the sauce for my kuay tiao was bland and not spicy. a poor experience at old airport road but thank goodness i had really good 蚝煎  hee hee.

trip to malaysia

so friday-sat i was in seremban with dad mom and xr, stayed at my 外婆’s place. visited 阿嬷 too, but didn’t get to see 公公。saw some cute dawggies and a few nieces and nephews (my cousin’s kids. they’re so cuuute omg i wish i could have stayed longer to play with them. ate so much durian and cheapandgood food so my tummy is happy. really need to exercise now man. however #eatclean plan will begin only after 13 sept because, duh

stuff

i lose myself when i stop reflecting and start taking things for granted. it’s really useful to be grateful and i know i always talk about being zen and shit and sometimes it’s so easy for me, it comes so naturally, but there are days when it isn’t, and my mind is a huge chaotic mess. it’s a constant effort then, i guess, to stay balanced and be contented

stay humble, peace, x
